How to Use Custom NTP Servers

You can define your desired NTP servers using the environment variable as shown below:

You’ll need to use the following environment variables:

Variable name: SF_NTP_SERVERS

Variable value: ntp1.server.com,ntp2.server.com,ntp3.server.com (separated by ; or ,)

Once you’ve made these changes, restart the desktop app.

You can define the variable as a user variable or a system variable. A user variable will only apply to a single user’s login, so you should use a system variable if you want to apply it to all users on that PC.

Note: Please note that our app uses well-known and commonly accessible NTP servers to counter issues with incorrect local time. If the custom NTPs you’ve defined are incorrect/problematic and/or the end user’s local time is incorrect at any point, this can affect the time recorded during such instances.
