With the release of Catalina, Apple has changed the way they handle system permissions for apps. In some cases, you may experience issues with the Time Doctor desktop app taking screenshots and recording web and app activity.

To make sure that the Time Doctor desktop app works correctly on the latest OS X release, perform the following steps.

For the Interactive App

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Go to Security & Privacy.
  3. Select Privacy.
  4. Select Accessibility and check the box next to Time Doctor.
  5. Select Screen Recording and check the box next to Time Doctor.

For the Silent App

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Go to Security & Privacy.
  3. Select Privacy.
  4. Select Accessibility and check the box next to “env.”
  5. Select Screen Recording and check the box next to “env.”

Note: In these settings, the silent app will have the name “sfproc.sh” if your OS X is older than Catalina.
