The Chrome extension/Firefox AddOn allows tracking time to tasks from third-party apps.
How does it Work?
The extension or AddOn inserts a start/stop button into Jira, Trello, Teamwork Projects, Asana, and other apps that it integrates with. Clicking on the start button starts tracking time in Time Doctor without having to leave the third-party app.

The extension/addon syncs with the desktop app, so any tasks and time tracked using the extension/addon will appear in the desktop app as well as in Time Doctor reports.

How to Activate the Chrome Extension or Firefox AddOn for your Company
To use the extension/addon, your company must be using the Interactive (not silent) version of the desktop app. The Projects & Tasks feature must be enabled in Settings / Company Settings. 
If the extension/addon isn’t already activated for your company, an admin can activate it on the Settings / Integrations page. 
If you select ON only for selected users, you can select for which users it should be enabled in Settings / Users - see the Integration tasks column there.
Once the extension/addon has been enabled, your existing employees will see a notification in their desktop apps that will prompt them to install the Chrome browser extension or Firefox addon depending on the web browser they use. When you invite new employees to join your company, they’ll be prompted to install the extension/addon as part of the setup process.
How Tracked Time Is Sent Back to Jira
For Jira only, the extension/addon will send tracked time back to Jira, so that its worklogs will match the Time Doctor worklogs.
The extension/addon sends time to Jira via the user’s browser session. Every 5 minutes, the extension/addon will try to upload the current tracked time for Jira issues to Jira. If a Jira tab isn’t open at that time, the tracked time will be stored. It will then be uploaded as soon as the user opens Jira in a browser. Any Jira page in the same Jira domain can be used by the extension/addon to upload time. It doesn’t have to be the page containing the issue for which the time was tracked.
Limitation: Jira doesn’t accept worklogs smaller than 60 seconds, so any tracking sessions that are shorter than 60 seconds are discarded. This can cause a difference of a few minutes between the time tracked by the Time Doctor and the time uploaded in Jira.
